Dr Azzedine Dabo will be speaking about his personal journey to a career in research from undergraduate through to PhD and beyond, covering his current work at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and any barriers he has faced and overcome along the way.
About the speaker: Dr Azzedine Dabo is the scientific lead of GSK’s Method Innovation Team and a former MSc Analytical Science and PhD Chemistry researcher at the University of Warwick. Azzedine’s work at GSK includes leading the development of in-silico modelling, quality by design (QbD) method development and the transfer of analytical methods and results between chromatography instruments. In 2022 he was awarded the GSK EMBRACE Rising Star Award, GSK Ahead Together/CEO Award, and in 2023 he was awarded the STEM Rising Star Award at the Black British Business Awards. Azzedine is also the co-lead for GSK’s ethnic monitoring group (Embrace UK).

The programme includes talks, networking and research career information open to the wider Warwick staff and student community.
