The Grierson Trust is a registered charity that exists to celebrate the best of documentary and factual filmmaking from Britain and around the world. They are offering two fantastic opportunities for aspiring filmmakers:

  1. Grierson DocLab core programme:

Do you love documentaries? Are you UK-based & aged 18-25? Then Grierson DocLab training from The Grierson Trust could be the training programme for you. From intensive training to bursary-supported work placements, the initiative will provide 12 successful individuals with the skills, confidence and connections to thrive in factual TV and documentary making. They especially welcome applications from those under-represented in TV (including disabled people, those from ethnic minority backgrounds, those from the LGBTQ+ community, lower socio-economic backgrounds, and more).

    2. Programme for aspiring Archive Producers:

Ever considered a career in archive for documentary? If you’re UK-based with 2-3 years’ industry experience and are looking to specialise, The Grierson Trust and Prime Video Pathway’s Grierson DocLab In Focus: Archive Producers programme could be for you. They’re seeking people with research and problem-solving skills with a passion for and drive to pursue a career in archive. Successful candidates will get intensive training, a 10-week paid placement, an industry mentor and more.
