Interested in a career in the city? The Freshfields Stephen Lawrence Scholarship Scheme is a fantastic opportunity which targets students who identify as male and as Black African or Black African-Caribbean(or mixed race Black African or mixed raced Black African Caribbean). You should be in the first year of your undergraduate degree and be interested in a career in the city (possibly, but not necessarily, in a Legal field). The scholarship is for black male students from non-privileged backgrounds who will most likely be state educated, are ambitious and driven with strong communication skills. This is a great opportunity for eligible and interested students to fast-track their career.
Scholars receive a 15-month tailored development programme which includes:
• interview coaching and skills workshops;
• commercial familiarisation including work shadowing with Freshfields and their partners (Goldman Sachs, Bank of England, Aon);
• an alternative route to interview for a training contract at Freshfields;
• mentoring; and
• a £5,000 contribution towards course and associated study-related costs.
Three Warwick students have secured scholarships including two in 2020.
Dream Big. This year It could be YOU!
