Following on from a very successful launch last year, the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) would like to invite students to attend FPC Careers 2022. This is a unique recruitment fair for students seeking a career in the fresh produce and floral sector and its many related industries including: retail, foodservice, general food/drink, logistics, packaging, technology and wholesale.

FPC Careers 2022 will connect today’s up-and-coming talent with the industry’s best employers when it co-locates with FPC’s second agritech innovation exhibition and conference FPC Future at the East of England Arena and Events Centre in Peterborough on 3rd November 2022.

Promoting exciting careers to undergraduates, postgraduates and jobseekers, FPC Careers 2022 will showcase the myriad of enviable employment opportunities open to 18-30-year-olds from national universities and colleges studying across all educational disciplines. The event is relevant not only for students studying horticulture and agritech but also for those taking courses across a far wider range of disciplines for example: business studies, economics, technology, marketing and languages. We’re very keen to highlight the fact that within these subject areas there really are some fantastic career opportunities with companies of all sizes operating both in the UK and overseas.

Our exhibitors need to hire young talent to drive forward ambitious developments and guarantee the longevity of the UK food supply chain.

The fresh produce sector is thriving with innovation and pushing the boundaries of what the UK can do in terms of Artificial Intelligence, robotics, automation, vertical farming and other ground-breaking developments. Last year at the FPC Future event there were 55 speakers who addressed many of these themes, lifting the lid on cutting edge technologies and the significant challenges facing global agriculture.

On the day, students and lecturers can attend both FPC Careers 2022 and FPC Future 2022 including all conference sessions and exhibition areas.

FPC Careers promises to be a highly productive, educational and fun day for both job seekers and employers.

Activities include a ‘Mentor Me’ area where students will meet with leading industry professionals to receive the best advice possible to launch their careers.

A ‘CV Clinic’ will be managed by MorePeople where new recruits can submit their CVs for top tips.

Finally, a professional photographer will take complimentary headshot photos of the jobseekers to spruce up their all-important LinkedIn profile or CV.

Many of the exhibitors will be organising competitions and giveaways, very popular last year!

We are fully committed to developing this event to showcase our sector in the best possible way to the students and post graduates who attend our show.

The show is free for all students and lecturers and registration will open shortly when we launch our new website FPC Careers 2022.
