FMWC together with The Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, will be hosting the Financial Modelling University Championship (FMUC) in two stages this year. The first stage will be online only and runs from April 9th through May 6th. The online finals will feature the top 8 students from around the world competing in a live online event that will be aired on YouTube. The second stage will be in the fall semester. The first rounds will be online and the competition will culminate with an in-person finals event in early November in Tucson, Arizona.

Our goal is to enable students of all levels (undergraduate and graduate) and backgrounds (not only finance/business majors) to learn more about financial modeling. Through our competition, students will gain insights into different types of financial modeling, develop their Excel and modeling skills, and be exposed to a variety of financial modeling career paths. The competition is entirely free to students (including reimbursed travel to the live finals in Tucson), has a prize pool of $10,000 (spring), and gives students an opportunity to highlight their skills to potential employers. For more information and to sign up for the spring competition, students can go to the competition webpage: https://www.fmworldcup.com/university-championship/
